Dear colleagues, ICFG members, accompanying persons and guests, The 45th ICFG Plenary Meeting will be held in Nagoya, Japan in the period September 9-12, 2012. It looks to be an exciting event and we hereby invite you to participate and possibly add to the program by submitting a paper. The city of Nagoya is located in central Japan and has a population of approximately 2.25 million people. Nagoya and its surrounding area is the center of Japan's industrial sector. Its solidly based production focuses on automobiles, general machinery, metal products, ceramics, and electric appliances. As economic links among nations continue to strengthen and expand, Nagoya strives to establish itself as an international production and economic center. The conference venue, WINC AICH, is near Nagoya station that is 30 min. by train from Central Japan International Airport (Centrair Airport). The meeting will include some invited papers on trends and visions on cold forging by experts from industry as well as academia from Japan and Europe. We furthermore have paper and poster sessions to which we invite you to contribute. Please feel free to encourage young colleagues of yours to present their results. For the accompanying persons, a three days program is offered. On the last day of the Plenary Meeting, two technical visits are offered.
